Mortar for flagstone normally mixes 2
part Masonry Sand and 1 part Portland Cement.
How to clean excess mortar
from stone:
Use a solution of 5-10% muriatic acid
and water with a stiff wire brush (do not use acid on marble or
limestone), then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Sealing Stone:
Stone may be sealed with a good quality
sealer only after curing, which usually takes 3-4 weeks.
